How Thy Neighbors Cookies Began

A year ago, my husband and I never imagined we’d be running a cookie business.

Like many families, we were going through a tough season. Life was busy, work was demanding, and we were just trying to keep everything together. But one thing always brought us peace—baking. Cookies, cakes, and sweet treats became our way of unwinding and spending quality time together.

So we started bringing our baked goods to work with us. Nothing fancy. Just homemade cookies and cakes made with love.

That’s when something unexpected happened.

Our neighbors and coworkers went crazy for them.

Every break room turned into a mini taste-test. People would ask,

“Who made these?”

“When are you bringing more?”

“I can get white girl wasted on pumpkin spice !”

At first, we laughed it off. But the requests kept coming. People started asking to place orders, to take cookies home for their families, to bring them to parties and events. That’s when we realized—this might be bigger than we thought.

We didn’t start this business to chase trends or cut corners. We started it because baking brought us joy during hard times—and we wanted to share that feeling with others.
